Cecily “Cee Cee” Banks

Family Services Manager

Cecily “Cee Cee” Banks was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. As a teenager, she struggled with family division, self-identity and finding a voice for herself. At age 14, a mentor brought confidence and positivity into her life, motivating her to work with peers to raise awareness and support for youth in the city. This is where she began her career path.

Cecily understands from firsthand experience how critical the work of Children’s Council can be to families. As a mom struggling to raise two children in San Francisco, Cecily turned to Children’s Council for help. We connected Cecily to financial assistance for child care and after school programs, allowing her to work and her children to thrive.

Prior to joining Children’s Council, Cecily worked for Compass Family Services, St. Vincent de Paul Society of San Francisco, Bakersfield City School District, AmericaCorps VISTA, and many other nonprofit organizations.

Throughout her career, Cecily has served at-risk-youth, women, children, system-involved individuals and exploited populations, as well as homeless adults and children in the Bay Area. She is a fierce advocate and contributor to local movements and policies that impact these communities. “Seeing the Unseen” is Cecily’s personal motto and her motivation in her work. As Family Services Manager at Children’s Council, Cecily helps families and children have increased access to early education.
