Abigail Pañares
Outreach & Communications Manager
Abigail is an arts administrator, filmmaker, producer and communications professional who is proud to call the Bay Area home.
In her role as Outreach and Communications Manager, Abigail is instrumental in driving brand awareness among both internal staff and external partners. She focuses on shaping Children’s Council’s narrative through the conception and production of branded materials, ensuring that digital and creative content authentically represents the organization and its programs.
With a foundation in theater and live performance, she brings a collaborative, community-centered approach to her work. Abigail has held a range of roles across arts and nonprofit organizations, including fundraising and event production at American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.), general management at Z Space and assistant directing at Yale Repertory Theater. She also served as production manager for SF Urban Film Fest and as Communications and Engagement Manager at Playwrights Foundation. As a co-founder of BAD REP Theatre, Abigail has supported emerging, underrepresented artists in creating original, multidisciplinary work. She holds a B.A. in Film from the University of California, Berkeley.
Abigail is passionate about utilizing her storytelling background to connect families, caregivers and providers with the resources they need, while amplifying stories that reflect the vibrant communities of San Francisco.
