Olivia Nevado

Olivia Nevado, Program Manager

Olivia serves this community as a Program Manager here at Children’s Council of San Francisco. Before Children’s Council, Olivia has been in the non-profit world for about 13 years, starting as a volunteer in college to an After School Site Coordinator to a Program Director for licensed childcare sites.

Olivia grew up in the Bay Area from being a latch-key kid of immigrant parents to attending San Francisco State University where she obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. During her college years, she was heavily involved in Social Justice, Ethnic Studies and the Restorative Practices where she was able to heavily apply in her work with the youth in various San Francisco communities. She is huge advocate for youth voice and empowering young girls to be leaders in their communities.

Being a child to immigrant parents, working in Youth Development and now, being a mother of two, Olivia is aware the high need for and importance of childcare in today’s society. On her spare time, Olivia enjoys traveling, trying out new restaurants and spending time with her family and friends. Olivia is also a huge fan of the Golden State Warriors and San Francisco Giants.
