4/17 Tandem, Strengths-Based Communication

  • Join us to learn and practice four simple techniques for supporting families to thrive by focusing on their strengths. How do we focus on a family’s strengths to support them in crafting solutions to challenges? How do we share helpful information and resources without feeling like we’re lecturing? In this training, learn four simple techniques for answering these questions.

4/24 On The Margins, Nurturing Resilience: Mind Body Tools for Providers + Parents

  • Nurturing resilience in young children is crucial for their emotional well-being and development. This session will explore the mind-body connection and its application in early childhood settings. We will delve into the arc of a tantrum, understanding its different stages from regulation to escalation and calming down. Additionally, we will provide practical mind-body tools to help children connect with their bodies and regulate their emotions effectively.

5/1 Tandem, Stories that Count

  • Counting is tougher than it seems. For young children, it isn’t just one skill, but five, or more, (depending how you count). The good news is teaching counting through storytelling is a lot of fun. Join us to learn tips and tricks!

5/8 JAMaROO, Author & CEO, Jamaica Stevens, Cooking Fun for Everyone!

  • Join us for a cooking demonstration and learn healthy cooking activities that are easy to do with children. This session will explore interactive, diverse learning environments to support caregivers, parents and their children. Participants who attend this session will receive a free cook book.
