Family/Provider Workshop: Building Social-Emotional Resiliency in Children

September 16, 2021 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Free
Learn how to build up the social-emotional needs of your children and support their growth.

As the pandemic ravages on, COVID fatigue not only affects adults but children equally too. The health and well-being of our children should continue to be surveilled and assured. While caring for ourselves, how do we ensure the social-emotional needs of our children are continuously being met? What are some of the signs and symptoms of their struggles to look out for and how do we support them?

In this workshop, we will explore the different social-emotional needs of our children in this ever-changing environment. We will also learn how to identify and address some of their challenges and setbacks to help strengthen their resiliency.

This session will be hosted by:

Richard A. Vieville Jr., AMFT, a registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist and Rebecca Carron, LCSW, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Both are Early Childhood Mental Health Consultants at Edgewood Center for Children and Families. Richard has been in the Early Childhood Education field for 16 years, providing positive behavior supports in the class and is also trained in Play Therapy. He is committed to empowering clients from disadvantaged communities to utilize the resources in the environment. Rebecca has been working with children for over 19 years in various roles. She started her career as a teacher’s aide at Sonoma State University’s Child Development Center working with 3-5 year olds. She loves the energy of children and helping them grow and develop into kind and confident individuals.
