Children’s Council Mourns Loss of IT Director Chris Prudhomme

Chris Prudhomme, who served as Director of Information Technology at Children’s Council from June 2015 until this past October, passed away on December 3, 2019.

Chris struggled valiantly to overcome complex health problems in the last two months, but his life ended peacefully with loved ones by his side.

His family has expressed great appreciation to the incredibly thoughtful and wonderful care Chris received from the nurses and doctors at Kaiser San Francisco and the Coming Home Hospice.

Chris brought over 30 years of knowledge and expertise to Children’s Council, significantly upgrading the organization’s technology infrastructure and launching numerous projects that will impact the lives of San Francisco families for years to come.

Among Chris’ numerous accomplishments at Children’s Council were the conception, oversight and launch of our Child Care Finder search platform; securing of over $100,000 in in-kind donations; and implementing a robust data security program, including staff trainings. He will be greatly missed.

Those would like to send a tribute gift in Chris’ memory, may contribute to Jewish Family and Children’s Services Emergency Family Assistance Program or Electronic Frontier Foundation.
