BizNest at Children’s Council

Children’s Council launched BizNest in 2021 to serve as the umbrella for all our training, resources and services for established, new and prospective early educators.

Since our founding in the mid 1970’s, we have been recognized as a leading child care organization not only in the Bay Area but in the State. With BizNest, we can bring our top-notch Family Child Care (FCC) Business Incubator to more providers in more California counties.

The Family Child Care (FCC) Business Incubator launched in 2019 and has since shown positive impact for FCCs opening and growing their businesses locally, regionally and throughout the state. Through this innovative program, our team has supported 1,037 prospective and established providers served across 12 California counties.

Given the early success and expansion plans of our FCC Business Incubator, Children’s Council partnered with Social Policy Research Associates (SPR) to fully evaluate the Incubator Program.

We are proud to partner with our founding funders, Bainum Family Foundation, Blue Shield of California Foundation and The James Irvine Foundation, to study the impacts of Children’s Council’s BizNest entrepreneurship training offered out of our Family Child Care Business Incubator.
