Kate Peterson
Kate is a clinical researcher studying neurological emergencies at UCSF’s safety-net hospital, Zuckerberg San Francisco General. Her work is focused on recovery after acute injury and specifically examines how social determinants of health impact patient outcomes. Originally from the Bay Area, Kate graduated from Middlebury College with a degree in Neuroscience and a special interest in food access.
She is committed to advancing health equity through research, community engagement, and thoughtful care. Kate has worked closely with children in both clinical and community settings and is especially passionate about building trust, comfort, and continuity in pediatric care.
In her free time, Kate enjoys cycling, trail running, cooking with friends, and exploring Bay Area farmer’s markets.
