Eric Fischer

Chief Financial Officer

Eric Fischer brings over 30 years of experience in working with community-based non-profit organizations as a leader advancing supportive systems and services for children and families everywhere. Raised by a single mother from Puerto Rico, Eric came to the mainland U.S. as a youth after living in Puerto Rico for four years during his early childhood, and brings his personal experience as a Latino to bear as a leader serving the rich diversity of people in the San Francisco Bay Area. 

Eric’s professional focus has been in the areas of strategic financial and accounting management, organizational and fund development, and technology and human resource management. After graduating from Santa Clara University with Bachelor’s Degrees in accounting and decision & information sciences, Eric worked with a local CPA firm specializing in audit, accounting and computer consulting services for professional services and not-for-profit organizations. He has worked with medium and large non-profit organizations across San Mateo, San Francisco and Marin Counties, helping to build administrative and financial infrastructure to facilitate strategic organizational growth and stability, including ten years with the Child Care Coordinating Council of San Mateo County, four years with Community Housing Partnership and service to Homeward Bound of Marin and the Breakthrough Collaborative. In 2019, Eric joined Children’s Council of San Francisco as Chief Financial Officer and served during a tremendous period of service delivery scaling and growth as the organization’s budget grew from $80 million to almost $250 million, thanks in part to his strong financial stewardship. 

Eric is also strongly committed to learning, teaching, and growing as an organizational leader, and has certifications in CoActive Life Coaching, Conscious Leadership Coaching, and most recently, as an Organizational Mindfulness Facilitator and Teacher. Eric enjoys working with individuals and organizations in removing barriers and developing the skills that support personal and organizational transformation. An advocate for healthy children and families everywhere, Eric is the father of three children, an avid photographer, and an inline skating fanatic.
