Child Care Assistance for Families Impacted by the SFUSD Strike

For families already working with Children’s Council:

If  you currently have a child care certificate that includes your regular schedule, which typically covers SFUSD school holidays and breaks, the strike falls outside the usual closure dates, so please check in with your child care provider immediately to confirm whether they have space available for your school‑age child(ren) to attend full‑day care during the strike. 

If you need full‑day child care and your current provider is unable to offer it during the strike, please reach out to your Family Services Specialist, Navigator, or Advocate. They will assist you with next steps and help you identify a temporary child care provider. If you are unsure who to contact, please call 415.276.2900 for assistance.
