Philip Mayard, Director of Marketing & Communications
Philip has over 20 years of experience in editorial, marketing, fundraising, public relations, print and digital publishing, advertising, video production and institutional branding. He joined Children’s Council in 2015, following a wide range of professional experiences, including marketing positions at San Francisco Ballet, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts and Houston’s Alley Theatre, as well as editorial/management positions at Passport Magazine, CNET and PC Accelerator.
As a freelance writer and marketing/communications consultant, his clients have included Stanford Live, KQED, Kids Country, Monument Impact and the Bay Area Reporter. Philip earned his B.A. in Mass Communications at McNeese State University in Lake Charles, LA. A lifetime arts enthusiast, he has designed for and instructed numerous high school marching band, color guard and dance programs across the United States.
