Mayor Lee Announces Preschool Expansion

boy-with-puppet1-670x415Mayor Ed Lee took a valuable step today toward making early education available to all San Francisco families. He announced an expansion of the city’s Preschool for All program that will fund 860 preschool spots over the next two years.

This welcome news is a direct result of voters passing Prop C in November. Prop C – aka the Children’s Fund – renewed and expanded the portion of property taxes set aside for education and children’s programs.

San Francisco has a long way to go toward making child care and early education available to all families. This week’s news is a promising sign that local voters and politicians understand the importance of the issue and are prepared to make the investments necessary to support families in our community.

My chill care provider works another job at 2pm. Would love it if you had child care provider classes that are a two day course 9-12 or so for 2 days
