Maritza Salinas

Associate Director of Family Support

Before joining Children’s Council Maritza spent six years at the San Francisco Education Fund overseeing a scholarship programs and corporate volunteer programs supporting SFUSD students. Her passion for education and post-secondary education, especially working with students from disadvantaged backgrounds, comes from the challenges she and her family faced when they immigrated to the United States.

Maritza believes empowering and supporting families are key to our community’s success. Raised in San Francisco Mission District, she attended public schools understands first-hand the challenges San Francisco families face. Maritza has a Bachelor of Art in Psychology from San Francisco State University and is currently completing a Masters in Organizational Development from the University of San Francisco.
