DESCRIPTION:Learn how stress and nurturing relationships shape early brain development in infants and toddlers.\n\n\nThis workshop is hosted by Children’s Council of San Francisco and facilitated by the Program for Infant/Toddler Care (PITC) Regional Support Network through WestEd\, in partnership with the California Department of Social Services. \nThe first three years of life are a critical period for brain development. During this time\, relationships and early experiences play an important role in shaping children’s learning\, behavior and overall well-being. \nIn this workshop\, participants will explore the three types of stress and their impact on early brain development. We will also discuss how responsive\, nurturing relationships can help buffer stress and support healthy growth and development in infants and toddlers.

DESCRIPTION:Este curso cumple con el requisito de Salud y Seguridad Preventiva (8 horas) para Community Care Licensing.\n\n\nEste curso de Salud y Seguridad Preventiva (8 horas) es un programa de entrenamiento afiliado y aprobado por la Autoridad de Servicios Médicos de Emergencia (Emergency Medical Services-EMSA) para cumplir con el requisto de Community Care Licensing. Al completar la clase de Salud y Seguridad Preventiva usted obtendrá un certificado. \nLa clase será dividida en dos sesiones y de manera virtual (tiene que asistir los 2 días): \n\nLa clase se ofrece Martes y Miercoles (en la fecha especificada que usted eliga cuando se registre) de 5:30pm a 9:30pm\n\nPor favor considere lo siguiente: \nEsta clase se imparten en línea\, se requiere la participación del 100% de todos los inscritos. Esto significa que debe tener su cámara encendida\, WIFI (internet) estable y estar inmóvil EN TODO MOMENTO. SUMMARY:Early Educator Workshop: Preventative Health and Safety (English)  20262701
DESCRIPTION:This course meets the Preventative Health and Safety (8-hour) requirement for Community Care Licensing.\n\n\nThis Preventive Health and Safety course (8 hours) is an affiliated training program approved by the Emergency Medical Services Authority (EMSA) to meet the Community Care Licensing requirement. Upon completion of the Preventive Health and Safety class you will earn a certificate. \nThe class will be divided into two sessions and given virtually (you must attend both days): \n\nThe class will be offered Tuesday and Wednesday (on the specified date you choose when you register) from 5:30pm to 9:30pm\n\nPlease consider the following: \nThe class taught virtually and 100% participation is required from everyone who is enrolled. This means that you must have your camera on\, stable WIFI (internet) and be stationary AT ALL TIMES. If you do not refrain from doing other activities\, such as driving or being on public transportation during either session\, you will be asked to log off and reschedule your class. \nThe Zoom link to access the training will be sent to the participants 24 hours before the class by email along with the necessary materials attached. Please use the same link for both sessions. \nIt is a requirement to attend both days to obtain your certificate\, which will be sent within 20 days after the completion of the course through USPS. Be sure to provide a valid mailing address for your card\, which requires your signature upon receipt. If participants are unable to meet these requirements\, they will need to reschedule the class\, this is allowed only one time. \nParticipants can reschedule their class or request a refund only once with a 5 day in advance notice (there will be no additional transfers/refunds). \nReach out to incubatorteam@childrenscouncil.org on the morning of the of your class (Tuesday) if you have not received the zoom link.

Aprenda sobre la neuroplasticidad\, las respuestas de lucha\, huida y bloqueo\, así como estrategias prácticas para fomentar la resiliencia y apoyar un desarrollo cerebral saludable. \n \nCreación de Entornos Sensibles al Trauma: \n12 de Agosto\, 2026 de 6pm-8:30pm \nLleve a la práctica los conocimientos sobre el enfoque de atención informada sobre el trauma creando relaciones afectuosas\, rutinas predecibles y entornos de apoyo. Explore estrategias que reduzcan los factores desencadenantes\, fomenten la alfabetización emocional y refuercen la seguridad\, la conexión y la autorregulación de los niños. \n \nApoyo al Cuidador: Agotamiento\, fatiga por compasión y autocuidado: \n19 de Agosto\, 2026 de 6-8:30pm \nFortalezca su bienestar aprendiendo a reconocer las señales de agotamiento\, fatiga por compasión y estrés. Explore estrategias prácticas para desarrollar su autoconciencia\, autorregulación y resiliencia. Elabore un plan de autocuidado personalizado que respalde su salud física\, emocional y relacional. \n \nLos talleres seran virtuales por zoom. All English language learners are welcome! \nChoose one of the following playgroup sessions: \n\nTuesdays 10:00am-11:30am\nThursdays 11:00am-12:30pm\nFridays 10:00am-11:30am\n\nChildren’s Council invites families and their caregivers to participate together in a free playgroup for children aged birth to three years who have mild to moderate disabilities\, learning differences and/or complex medical needs. \nEach week a playgroup coach will lead participating families or caregivers in developmentally engaging\, hands-on activities to support the growth and development of their young children. \nOver the course of 10-weeks\, children & their caregivers will have access to: \n\nASQ:SE-2 and ASQ-3 (developmental screening)\nIndividualized feedback and home activities for each child\nWeekly parent education topics\nDeveloping a community support network\n\nPlease contact Saeda Fuller at sfuller@childrenscouncil.org if you have any questions.
