SUMMARY:Early Educator Workshop: Preventative Health and Safety (English)  20250601
DESCRIPTION:This course meets the Preventative Health and Safety (8-hour) requirement for Community Care Licensing.\n\n\nThis Preventive Health and Safety course (8 hours) is an affiliated training program approved by the Emergency Medical Services Authority (EMSA) to meet the Community Care Licensing requirement. Upon completion of the Preventive Health and Safety class you will earn a certificate. \nThe class will be divided into 2 parts and will be given virtually (you must attend both days): \n\nThe class will be offered Monday and Tuesday (on the specified date you choose when you register) from 5:30pm to 9:30pm\n\nPlease consider the following: \nThese classes are taught online\, 100% participation is required from everyone who is enrolled. This means that you must have your camera on\, stable WIFI (internet) and be stationary AT ALL TIMES. If you do not refrain from doing other activities\, such as driving or being on public transportation on either session you will be asked to log off and reschedule your class. \nThe Zoom link to access the training will be sent to the participants 24 hours before the class by email along with the necessary materials attached. Please use the same link for both sessions. \nIt is a requirement to attend both days to obtain your certificate\, which will be sent within 20 days after the completion of the course through USPS. Be sure to provide a valid mailing address for your card\, which requires your signature upon receipt. If participants are unable to meet these requirements\, they will need to reschedule the class\, this is allowed only one time. \nParticipants can reschedule their class or request a refund only once with 5 days in advance (there will be no additional transfers/refunds). \nReach out to incubatorteam@childrenscouncil.org on the morning of the day of your class (Monday) if you haven’t received the zoom link.

Al completar la clase de Salud y Seguridad Preventiva usted obtendrá un certificado. \nLa clase será dividida en 2 partes y se dará de manera virtual (tiene que asistir los 2 días): \n\nLa clase se ofrecera Lunes y Martes (en la fecha especificada que usted eliga cuando se registre) de 5:30pm a 9:30pm\n\nPor favor considere lo siguiente: \nEstas clases se imparten en línea\, se requiere la participación del 100% de todos los inscritos. DESCRIPTION:Due to concerns surrounding public health\, workshops have moved to an online format.  Information will be emailed and sent by text message.\n\n\nWorkshops have moved online! Access to information will be sent via email and text. \n \nThis free three-week training series helps early educators explore how trauma\, including intergenerational and historical trauma\, affects both the children they serve and their own experiences. Participants will reflect on identity\, deepen their understanding of trauma\, and learn strategies for self-care. \nEach 2.5-hour online session includes an optional 30-minute coaching opportunity at the end. \nParticipants are encouraged to attend all 3 sessions and may earn up to 8 professional growth hours. \n \n \nWho Am I: October 2\, 6-8:30pm \nLearn about yourself and your culture\, and understand what intergenerational\, transgenerational\, and historical trauma is. \nBecome more self-aware about how our ancestors’ trauma impacts our lives today and in the future. \nIntroduction of Historical Trauma: October 9\, 6-8:30pm \nExplore epigenetics and how it relates to working with children\, as well as the impact of toxic stress\, racism\, trauma and ACES\, particularly for children of color. Learn to better support children who have experienced historical trauma in a positive non-biased way. \nSelf Care: October 14\, 6-8:30pm \nExplore how stress\, burnout\, and compassion fatigue affect educators and caregivers. SUMMARY:Early Educator Workshop: Preventative Health and Safety (English)  20250601
DESCRIPTION:This course meets the Preventative Health and Safety (8-hour) requirement for Community Care Licensing.\n\n\nThis Preventive Health and Safety course (8 hours) is an affiliated training program approved by the Emergency Medical Services Authority (EMSA) to meet the Community Care Licensing requirement. Upon completion of the Preventive Health and Safety class you will earn a certificate. \nThe class will be divided into 2 parts and will be given virtually (you must attend both days): \n\nThe class will be offered Monday and Tuesday (on the specified date you choose when you register) from 5:30pm to 9:30pm\n\nPlease consider the following: \nThese classes are taught online\, 100% participation is required from everyone who is enrolled. This means that you must have your camera on\, stable WIFI (internet) and be stationary AT ALL TIMES. If you do not refrain from doing other activities\, such as driving or being on public transportation on either session you will be asked to log off and reschedule your class. \nThe Zoom link to access the training will be sent to the participants 24 hours before the class by email along with the necessary materials attached. Please use the same link for both sessions. \nIt is a requirement to attend both days to obtain your certificate\, which will be sent within 20 days after the completion of the course through USPS. Be sure to provide a valid mailing address for your card\, which requires your signature upon receipt. If participants are unable to meet these requirements\, they will need to reschedule the class\, this is allowed only one time. \nParticipants can reschedule their class or request a refund only once with 5 days in advance (there will be no additional transfers/refunds). \nReach out to incubatorteam@childrenscouncil.org on the morning of the day of your class (Monday) if you haven’t received the zoom link.
