SUMMARY:Early Educator Workshop: FCC Financial Wellness Series 20220406
DESCRIPTION:Due to concerns surrounding public health\, workshops have moved to an online format.  Information will be emailed or sent by text message.\n\n\nDue to concerns surrounding public health\, workshops have moved to an online format.  Information to access the online content will be texted or emailed to participants\, and materials will be mailed to your address. Updates will be texted to participants.    \nCome join us for a six-part financial wellness series for Family Child Care where we will aide providers in securing a financial future for themselves and their loved ones. \nBusiness Finances\, April 6 6-8:30 \nCould you accurately estimate the costs of your business? Learn to do just that and more. Create a working budget for your business. Gain a better understanding of financial models that show the enrollment levels you need to break even\, and when you will begin to earn a profit. Set prices that are fair and profitable and walk away with a better understanding of your finances so you can make better business decision. \nIncome Boosting Strategies\, April 14 6-8:30 \nLearn how to make more money in your child care business. This workshop will teach you how to increase your prices\, set up paid time off\, and other opportunities to elevate your income while doing the work you love. This workshop was designed by a former child care educator with years of direct experience. Learn tried and true methods to maximize your earning potential \nThree Rules of Money\, April 30 12pm-1:30pm \nDid you grow up playing any sports? Most people would say\, “Yes!” In order for you to be successful\, someone had to teach you the rules of the game. In this course\, we teach you the rules to the money game! We all know how to spend money\, but very few of us know how to save money\, let alone\, in the right places. Come and learn how you can make your money work for you \nCreate Your Own Family Bank\, May 7 12pm-1:30pm \nWe go to the bank to borrow money for large expenses like cars\, houses\, and personal loans. Banks have high interest rates\, sometimes up to 35% to borrow money from them. What if you were able to borrow money from your own family bank? We show families how to create their own family bank. Using this strategy\, you can borrow money from yourself\, pay yourself the interest\, and choose how you want to pay yourself back. You are in charge of your financial goals! \nRetirement: 401K vs IUL\, May 14 12pm-1:30pm \nMost people have a 401K\, or a 403B retirement account. Like the stock market\, these accounts vary daily. There is no way to predict the market. Do you like gambling with your life savings? If you have a 401K\, or a 403B\, you are gambling with your life savings daily. In this course\, you will learn how you can put protections on your money\, so you don’t have to lose any of your principal value. Sounds too good to be true right? Learn how the IUL can be the right savings vehicle for you. We can show you why\, and how to take advantage of this account for your retirement savings. \nExit Planning Strategies\, TBD \nDo you have an exit plan for your business? Learn how to plan for the closure of your business\, whether you’re selling it\, passing it along to your family or simply retiring your services. It is important to plan for the unknowns to ensure that what you have worked for is protected and remembered. In this workshop\, participants will walk away with a plan for when the unknowns happen or when it’s time to say goodbye and retire
