SUMMARY:Early Educator Workshop: Trauma Informed Care Series 20251002
DESCRIPTION:Due to concerns surrounding public health\, workshops have moved to an online format.  Information will be emailed and sent by text message.\n\n\nWorkshops have moved online! Access to information will be sent via email and text. \n \nThis free three-week training series helps early educators explore how trauma\, including intergenerational and historical trauma\, affects both the children they serve and their own experiences. Participants will reflect on identity\, deepen their understanding of trauma\, and learn strategies for self-care. \nEach 2.5-hour online session includes an optional 30-minute coaching opportunity at the end. \nParticipants are encouraged to attend all 3 sessions and may earn up to 8 professional growth hours. \n \n \nWho Am I: October 2\, 6-8:30pm \nLearn about yourself and your culture\, and understand what intergenerational\, transgenerational\, and historical trauma is. \nBecome more self-aware about how our ancestors’ trauma impacts our lives today and in the future. \nIntroduction of Historical Trauma: October 9\, 6-8:30pm \nExplore epigenetics and how it relates to working with children\, as well as the impact of toxic stress\, racism\, trauma and ACES\, particularly for children of color. Learn to better support children who have experienced historical trauma in a positive non-biased way. \nSelf Care: October 14\, 6-8:30pm \nExplore how stress\, burnout\, and compassion fatigue affect educators and caregivers. Learn strategies to manage triggers\, build resilience\, and practice self-care to support yourself and the children in your care.

DESCRIPTION:Aprende a ofrecer un cuidado a los niños informado en cómo manejar el trauma y de manera consciente en nuestro serie virtual.\n\n\nÚnase a nuestra capacitación gratuita de cuatro semanas\, diseñada para educadores de primera infancia\, para comprender mejor el impacto del trauma en el desarrollo infantil y aprender estrategias para apoyar el bienestar de los niños y el suyo propio. No se lo pierdan\, ¡su participación puede marcar la diferencia en la vida de un niño! \nCada sesión en línea es de 2.5 horas incluye una sesión opcional de capacitacion de 30 minutos al final. Se anima a los participantes a asistir a las cuatro sesiones y podrán obtener hasta 10 horas de desarrollo profesional. \n \n¡Los talleres ahora son virtuales! La información se enviará por correo electrónico. \n \nIntroducción al Trauma: 22 de Octubre\, de 6pm – 8:30pm \nReconoce el trauma y sepa cómo responder a los desencadenantes. Aprenda sobre lo qué significa ACES (por sus siglas en ingles) y sus efectos. Identifica los cuatro tipos de trauma y ha diferenciar entre como responder de forma saludable y no saludable. \n \nNeurociencia: Creando una Experiencia Positiva para la Infancia: 29 de Octubre\, de 6pm – 8:30pm \nAprenda sobre la neuroplasticidad y las conexiones neuronales\, y su impacto en una relación saludable entre usted como el cuidador y el niño. Cree rutinas para la previsibilidad\, aprenda sobre las vías cerebrales\, identifique palabras para describir las sensaciones de los niños y diseñe estrategias para brindar un entorno seguro. \n \nFatiga por Compasión vs. Agotamiento: 5 de Noviembre\, de 6pm – 8:30pm \nAprenda la diferencia entre la fatiga por compasión y el agotamiento y\, a su vez\, cómo brindar un mejor apoyo a los niños. Identifique los desencadenantes\, explore el impacto del estrés y descubra por qué es tan importante priorizarse. \n \nAuto-Cuidado: 12 de Noviembre\, de 6pm – 8:30pm \nDesarrolle estrategias para cuidarse y reconocer cuándo su cuerpo necesita un descanso.
