Our Training-of-Trainers program equips facilitators with the resources\, knowledge\, and strategies necessary to deliver strength-based training to educators\, enabling them to apply their skills\, knowledge\, and interests in a unique and impactful manner within their businesses. We provide comprehensive tools and resources to deliver engaging and compelling workshops. \nThe FCC Fundamentals Series covers the following key topics: \n\nDesign of a Unique Program\nCurriculum Design and Activities\nEnvironment Design\nMarketing\nContracts and Policies\nCommunication with Families\nBusiness Finances\nBusiness Taxes\n\nTarget Audience: \nPartners from Resource and Referral Agencies in California who want to effectively teach the Family Child Care Fundamentals Series in their county. \nSeries objectives: \n• Increase the supply of child care \n• Ensure businesses are sustainable \n• Help women create a high quality and unique program that is attractive to families \n• Help existing businesses go from survival to thriving \nPrerequisites: \nExperience delivering interactive workshops and training. \nIntent to deliver training content \nCourse Materials: \nAttendees will receive an electronic copy of the course manual with the presentation slides and handouts. \nAbout this event: \nThis online event will take place over 4 days: \nTuesday\, March 19 from 10 am to 3:30 pm \nWednesday\, March 20 from 10 am to 3:30 pm \nThursday\, March 21 from 10 am to 3:30 pm \nFriday\, March 22 from 10 am to 3:30 pm \nEach day we will have a one-hour lunch. \nTechnical Requirements: \nThe TOT will be delivered virtually through the Zoom platform\, attendees must use a computer and have their camera on. Updates will be texted to participants. \nCome join us in this 6-part series\, we will discuss child development topics to support your interactions with youth\, discuss ways you can digitally market your business and review strategies to help you build a financially stable business. \nSupporting Social-Emotional Development: February 8 and February 15 6-8:30pm \nThis is a 2-part workshop. Please plan to attend on both February 8th and February 15. \nIn this interactive workshop learn how to understand and support the social-emotional development of the children in your care. \nA child’s social-emotional development provides them with a sense of who they are in the world\, how they learn and helps them establish quality relationships with others. It is what drives an individual to communicate\, connect with others\, and more importantly\, helps resolve conflicts\, gain confidence and reach goals. Building a strong social-emotional foundation as a child will help the child thrive and obtain happiness in life. They will be better equipped to handle stress and persevere through difficult times in their lives as an adult. We will also work on preparing your content for various platforms leaving you with the tools you need to set you up for success. \nIncome Boosting Strategies: March 7\, 6-8:30pm \nLearn how to make more money in your child care business. This event is open to family child care educators and parents. Margarita Spataro\, a parent of a child with severe autism and an intellectual disability will share her experiences getting support\, navigating services and the importance of advocacy for Black and African American children with special needs and disabilities.
