Dawn Perry

Dawn Perry, Child Care Quality Initiatives Director

Dawn Perry joined Children’s Council as Manager of the Family Child Care Quality Network (FCCQN) in 2013.  Now the Child Care Quality Director, she has over 30 years of experience in the child development field as a child care provider, trainer, program administrator and advocate. Her past positions include Manager of Early Care and Education Services for the City of San José, executive director of Community Family Services, and instructor for the Family Child Care At Its Best project with the University of California, Davis.

 

Dawn has presented on a variety of early education and family child care related topics at state and local conferences, community colleges and through customized training. She has held statewide leadership positions including State President and Co-Chair of the Family Child Care Taskforce for the California Child Development Administrators Association. Dawn holds a Bachelor of Social Work degree and a Masters degree in Child Development. She also holds a current California adult education credential and child development Program Director permit.
