Fran Maier, President
Fran Maier is a serial entrepreneur and brand builder with nearly 20 years experience in Internet businesses. She currently serves as Founder and Chair of the Board of TRUSTe, the leading privacy trustmark and solutions provider as well as Senior Consultant (marketing) for GameChanger Products.
Fran’s career, from co-founder of Match.com to CEO at TRUSTe, has made her an experienced agent of innovation and growth, particularly in companies that build brands and results by establishing trust with online consumers. In addition to her expertise in online privacy, Fran is also known for her expertise in social networking, brand building, business development, and marketing. She speaks widely on the subject of women in entrepreneurship and technology as well as the importance of marketing to the large and influential female market. Several of her advisory roles are with female led start-ups.
Marissa Levinson, Vice President
Marissa Levinson is currently Senior Counsel at QuinStreet, Inc. She has spent over 15 years at the forefront of online media and technology, leading both business and legal teams. Marissa held executive positions at Bloomberg, Six Apart Ltd and has served as legal counsel to both SAY Media and QuinStreet. She lives in San Francisco with her husband and young daughter and knows first-hand the vital difference a great preschool can make to the lives of working parents.
Jordan Trent Jones, Secretary
Jordan Trent Jones is a partner with Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton LLP. He specializes in intellectual property law matters with an emphasis on patent infringement litigation and other technology-related litigation. He earned a J.D. from the University of California at Los Angeles, School of Law, and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Princeton University. Jordan is committed to giving back to the community and helping families in San Francisco.
Jim Kirk, Treasurer
Jim Kirk has been the Chief Financial Officer at the San Francisco Symphony for the last two years, after working in the non-profit industry for the previous nine years with several of the Jewish Community Centers in the Bay Area.
Jim is responsible for the Symphony’s finance/accounting and information technology areas. Prior to joining the Symphony, he was Chief Financial and Operating Officer at the Jewish Community Center of San Francisco. Jim has over 30 years of experience in the finance/accounting field, working with both private companies and in the not-for-profit arena. He has over 20 years of experience directing all accounting, finance, administration, IT, human resources and a variety of operational functions. Throughout his career Jim has focused on a commitment to offering outstanding service to both internal and external customers. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California at Berkeley, obtained his CPA license shortly thereafter and spent 13 years in the hospitality industry in the Bay Area.
