We provide mental health consultation to family child care homes and child care centers in San Francisco. Services range from short-term consultation about a specific child to consultation for the whole program.
Our mental health consultants support providers and teachers. We help them to understand childrens social, emotional and educational needs. Together, we design individual treatment plans for each child. We also plan day-to-day approaches that support all children.

Therapeutic Preschool
In some cases, children may need more individualized support. Childrens Council co-manages a Therapeutic Preschool in Visitacion Valley. It serves children ages 3 to 5 with severe emotional or behavioral problems. For more information, click here.
