Children with Special Needs

Inclusive child care allows all children to learn together in an educational atmosphere that supports and nurtures the individual strengths of each child. It encourages them to participate in the daily routines and activities of the class, regardless of cognitive or physical impairments.

The Child Care Inclusion Challenge Project (CCICP) works to ensure that all children have equal access to high-quality care and can take advantage of their surrounding environment, ultimately improving their educational experience.

CCICP offers free, confidential training and on-site consultation to licensed child care providers who work in centers and family homes, as well as to license-exempt providers and families. The services are available in several languages.

This program combines the efforts of Childrens Council of San Francisco and Support for Families of Children with Disabilities.
