Our Programs
In our more than 30 years of service to San Francisco's diverse communities, Children's Council of San Francisco has helped over 100,000 families and child care providers.

Family services/resource and referral: Free child care referrals and community resource information in English, Spanish, Chinese, Russian, or Vietnamese
Child care subsidy assistance: Helps pay for child care for low-income parents so that they can work, attend school, or receive needed training
Child care provider training and support: Conducts workshops, classes, and other assistance to help child care workers earn their license, increase their skills and income, improve their businesses, and gain greater professional status
Child Care Food Program: Administers subsidies to help child care providers cover the costs of healthy, high-quality meals and snacks for the children in their care
Mental Health Consultation: Offers professional support to families and caregivers working with children who exhibit learning or behavioral problems
Child Care Inclusion Challenge Project: Works to ensure equal access to high-quality care for children with special needs and disabilities
Family and Children's Services: Administers child care and subsidy support for families with children who are at risk of abuse or neglect
Child care advocacy: Supports efforts to raise public support for child care and awareness of child care as a vital social service
